Quick Cycle Research
Prompt
QuickCycle is an (imaginary) startup online bicycle retailer. One of the core features of their website will be the interface by which users find the ‘right’ bike within QuickCycle's sizable inventory. You are tasked with the UX and visual design for this interface.
The Problem
Visitors to the site need to fined a bicycle that fits their range of general to specific wants and needs.
The Solution
Through a series of categories and filters, make it easy for the user to find a bike that's catered to what they're looking for. It's importnant to be able to accomodate the spectrum of riders that know nothing about what they want, to exactly what they want.
The site needs to have a clear navigation system, filter, and search features. The landing page will have a rotating photo marquee that highlights top brands and categories of bikes. Immediately below is an area in which the user can answer a series for questions that would return a number of possible options for what they're looking for. The main content area contains thumbnails of all available bicycles, listing their names and prices. These thumbnails can be sorted and filtered thru diffrent categories, and more reults would populate the page as the user scrolls down.
